Hercules: Pantazopoulos took over athletic director

The position of the sports director in Hercules took over George Pantazopoulos. The 52 -year -old player was in Peristeri for ten years until he left last year’s post of chairman and chief executive.

We announce the start of our partnership with George Pantazopoulos, who takes over the position of Sports Director (athletic director) in our team.

George Pantazopoulos was born on December 16, 1972 in Athens. His factor career began in the summer of 2014 by Peristeri, where he remained until the end of last year’s (2023-24) season, that is, for 10 consecutive years, serving President and Managing Director of the Basketball Department.

With the Western suburbs of Attica, it was found from A2 in A1 after the 2017-2018 season. The following year (2018-2019) the Peristeri team finished 4th in the Greek Basketball League.

Three racing season (2019-2020, 2022-2023 and 2023-2024) Peristeri took 3rd place in the Greek Basketball League, while participating in the Basketball Champions League (2019-2020 and 2022-2023), while in 2023 it reached the end of the Greek Cypriot.

In addition to the excellent course in the Greek Basketball League last year, he also qualified for the Final Four of the Basketball Champions League, which took place in Belgrade.

Also, during his term in Peristeri, the groups of children and adolescents had significant distinctions, including conquests of nationwide titles.

As an athlete, Giorgos Pantazopoulos competed in Elysian (1991-1997), Nia East (1997-2001), Peristeri (2001-2002), Italian Fabriano Basketball Club (2002-2003), Macedonian (2003-2004) and Colossus (2005-2006).
