UEFA: City received the biggest bonus for players’ concession to national teams

From the record-breaking amount of 233 million euros to 901 clubs from all its member federations, under the BENEFITS Program program, the English champions have put in their funds 5.17 million euros.

The program covered players in the UEFA Nations League 2020/21 and 2022/23, in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, but also in the final phase of the European Championship last summer.

Real Madrid followed 4.79 million euros, while Inter received 4.65 million. The compensation was determined on the basis of a fixed amount per player and per match in the Nations League and the qualifiers, as well as by additional compensation per day of participation in the Euro final.

The most striking element is that the benefits have reached the lower mattresses of the football map. Yorkshire Amateur, a 10th division club in England, received 7,300 euros.

Overall, 100 million euros were distributed to the release of players during this season – increased compared to the previous 70 million. In addition, the amount for participation in the European Championship increased from € 130 million to € 140 million, with the money ending in 196 clubs from 29 football federations.
