The decision to set up a basketball school was announced by the CAE Panionios.
The Neosmyrnians report the need to develop the team’s academy essentially to find talent for staffing the first group while also informing it. Chris Hugaz will be the head and Fanis Christodoulou will also be prominent.

VIVA OEM Panionios Juice and the Panionios Gymnastic Association of Smyrna – Panionios GSS announces with great pleasure the establishment of the “Panionios Basketball School”, an initiative that comes as a natural continuation of the stable and quality work that has been done for years.
This new structure is created in order to substantially enhance the development process of the basketball section, to reconnect the infrastructure with the first group functionally and racing, and to highlight, through modern approaches, the philosophy introduced by Andreas Varikas to Panionios – a philosopher.
The “Panionios Basketball School” is a serious investment in the OEM, which, in close and equal cooperation with the amateur Panionios, is attempting the next, essential step: creating a framework with stability, reliability and racing perspective, because we do.
In the context of this new effort, Chris Chougaz assumes the role of General Manager of Infrastructure and the CAE Technical Adviser, with the aim of strategic planning and long -term development of the development model.
This collaboration is further enhanced by the active presence of Fani Christodoulou, a legend of our club and Greek basketball, who will play a key role in the restructuring and foundation of the Panioni basketball school with its prestige, experience and dedication.
