“PAOK and the Women’s Volleyball Department, PAOK F&U, announce the start of cooperation with coach George Yatsis for the 2025-2026 season.
Born on 22/06/1968, George Yatsis will hold his second term in the club, as he was a men’s coach in the 2013-2014 season.
He began his coaching career in the 2003-04 season by the Mars men’s team.
The following season (2004-05) found him in the Thessaloniki Sports, with a great run, with his team participating in the Volley League finals.
It followed a two-year (2005-07) group of Women of Hope of Ampelokipi, to continue to the group of men of Alexander the Great of Thessaloniki (2007-08) and the Galaxy of Thessaloniki for a three-year period (2008-2011).
The next two years (2011-2013) found him in the Mars Men’s Group to continue (2013-14) to the General Lamia GS in the first half and PAOK in the second half (2013-14).
The following season (2014-15) found him in the Mars men’s team.
For the last ten years it has been involved in the development of the sport, conducting volleyball seminars in nearly 50 countries. In fact, he is the only FIVB Greek instrumental instructor, as his scientific work is a guide to world volleyball.
With the team’s General Manager, Yiannis Giannakis, they have worked many times in the past in the teams that were, on the part of the individual athletes growth, but also in the transitional period, having excellent results.
On the start of a cooperation with PAOK, George Yatsis told the club’s official website, Acpaok.gr: “It is a special honor for me to take over the technical leadership of the PAOK women’s volleyball team, a leading club with consistently high goals in recent years. I would like to thank the administration and administrative leader, Constantine Amiridis. This is the second time I have been working with PAOK and my return to the club is a new, important step for me in my training career.
A large circle has been closed in my scientific work. Contact from the great PAOK club has also played a big role, as I have the best memories of our cooperation. We have worked with Yiannis Giannakis in the past and I know that he is doing everything to have the best organization.
For me, it’s another motivation and now that I have more time this was the reason I chose PAOK, despite the fact that I had several suggestions every year, but I didn’t have the time to see them, as I considered my worldwide scientific work. ”
Welcome to PAOK, coach. “
