It was also competitive at noon against the Spanish chief, Elvira Rand (No. 19), but lost 3-0 with “full” all sets (8-11, 12-14, 9-11). In the finale, the left-handed Greek champion of the category was defeated by German Airen Kalaitzidou (No. 44) with a 3-0 set (7-11, 4-11, 7-11).
