The world’s free pool diving comes to OAKA, 18-25/5

From 18 to 25 Maythe heart of free diving will be hit at the Olympic Athletics Center in OAKAwith the World Free Pool Diving Championship. Athens is ready to host a world -class championship that will highlight the best face of pool racing in free diving. More than 260 athletes from 44 countries and over 100 envoys of national federations will participate in the top -notch diving event for 2025.

The World Diving Championship is the first event of the Organizing Committee of the Ministry of Sports “Diving Greece”, in collaboration with the World Federation of Underwater Activities (CMAS) and the Hellenic Federation of Underwater Activity and Sport Fisheries (EOUDA). The purpose of Diving Greece is to highlight Greece as an international diving center, from high quality pools to the unexplored seabed of the Greek Sea.

The opening ceremony will take place on Monday 19 May 2025 at 18:00at the central swimming pool of the Olympic Athletics Center at OAKA, in the presence of Deputy Minister of Sports Yiannis Broutsis and CMAS President Anna Arzova. On Sunday, May 18th, the official enrollments of the participants will be submitted and the rich racing program will start on Tuesday, May 20th.

The Deputy Minister of Sports, Yiannis Broutsisstated: ‘Greece welcomes the World Pool Diving Championship for the first time. This is the first worldwide event of Diving Greece, the Organizing Committee of Diving Highlights set up by the Ministry of Sport.
