Actor Nikos Galanos passed away at the age of 79.

He began his career in the 1960s and became well known in the early 1970s with lead roles in Greek cinema films.

He was born on December 20, 1945 as Nikos Soupionas. He made his cinematic debut in 1962 performing a small role in the film “Anger”. He studied acting at the Drama School of Kostis Michaelides, while making his theatrical debut playing with Jenny Karezi in the late 1960s. During the same period he also participated in the films “Cry” (1964), “My Tears” “Panic” (1969) and “I Died every dawn” (1969).

In the early 1970s she starred with Aliki Vougiouklakis in the film “A Funny Girl” in the role of Alekos Venieris, born widely known, followed by other starring roles in films.
