THE Charles Lecler sent a loud message in view of his Grand Prix Monacofinishing first in the first two periods of free trials on Friday (23/05). Her Monegasus Ferrari marked the fastest round with a time of 1: 11.355 in the second period, leaving just 0.038 seconds behind him Oscar of McLaren. Lewis Hamilton closed the first three, just a tenth away from Lecler’s teammate.
The second period was marked by two red flags. Initially, Rokie’s Racing Bulls, Isak Hadjartouched the barriers at Nouvelle Chicane, and a few minutes later Piastri hit the wall at Ste Devote, without serious consequences. Despite the setbacks, the Australian returned dynamically, winning second place.
Lado Norris was fourth, followed by the impressive twin of Racing Bulls, Loson and Hadzar. Alonso, Antoneli and Ferstapen were also in the top ten, with the Dutch champion expressing his annoyance on slow movement on the track.
The action continues on Saturday with third trials at 12:30 and the decisive qualifications at 16:00.
