PANHELLENIC CHAMPIONSHIP EXERCISE A/C: 11th Title for Kontochristopoulos, Fifth for Chaldean in the solo

Nikos Kontohristopoulos and Maria Chaldeou were once again champion and champion of Greece respectively in the exercise sword in the Pan -Hellenic Championship last Saturday.

Nikos Kontohristopoulos is the champion of Greece in the men’s exercise sword. The 33 -year -old reached his eleventh title and seventh consecutive title, having remained unbeaten in the institution since 2018. With the eleven titles he equalized Zisi Babanassis, who was the institution’s polynomial in men in the eleven in 1994.

Maria Chaldeiou, who reached five solo titles after those he had won in 2016, 2018, 2021 and 2022 and became the third with the most wins in the institution along with the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors, were champions in the corresponding women’s race in 2016, 2018, 2021 and 2022. Nikos Kontochristopoulos (AOXA) faced George Ballos (AOXA) in the semifinals, who had left last year’s finalist Raphael Souli (Value) with 15-10. The experienced frenzy dominated Ballos 15-11 and qualified for the final.

In the second semifinals, Sotiris Gerosideris (GEF) and George Manolikas (Axia), who had left in the quarter-finals outside Dimitris Fatouros (AOXA), the winner of the third year of this year’s Cup, with 15-13 with 15-13 and Manolikas, and Manolikas, were “crossed.

There, however, Kontohristopoulos was the one who “sealed” the title with a score of 15-8 against Manolikas.

In the semifinal phase of the women, Katerina Kontochristopoulou (AOXA) fought with Maria Stamos (PAO) and Maria Chaldeiou (Axia) with Eleni Ballou (AOXA). The first match was judged in the details and Stamos was 15-13, while Chaldeau more easily dominated Ballos in the second match with 15-9.

The big final was judged in the last and decisive point, with Chaldeau finally making 15-14 against Stamos.
