Spheropoulos President of the Association of Greek Basketball Representatives

The General Assembly of Association of Greek Basketball Representatives (SEAK) It took place at a central hotel in Thessaloniki on Friday, May 16, 2025, focusing on the essential promotion, active protection and effective promotion of the professional interests of the members of the Association, through a constructive dialogue and the designation of common strategies for the further development of the industry.

In the context of the General Assembly they were held Elections to appoint a new Board of Directors and the Audit Committee, with a term of office stretching from May 2025 to April 2027. The SEAK, with a steady focus on supporting its members, continues to set the highest goal of upgrading the quality and effectiveness of the services provided in Greece.

Following the relevant electoral process and after the report of the outgoing Board of Directors, members who would set up the new Board of Directors of the SEAK, as well as members of the Audit Committee, were announced. The composition of these bodies reflects the collective will of the members of the Association and assumes responsibility for the implementation of the strategic objectives of the next two years.

The Agenda of the General Assembly included essential issues that concern the Association, which were raised for discussion and evaluation by the present members.

At the same time, it was decided a series of actions and actions to enhance the presence and role of SEAK, both at institutional and social level. With a view to collectivity, transparency and progress, the members pledged to move on with specific initiatives that will meet the needs of the time and the expectations of the members.

At the General Assembly, a number of important proposals and decisions were unanimously presented and approved by the House unanimously. Thus, Mr. Costas Papadakis, member of the Board of Directors of SEAK, was declared an honorary president of the Association as the oldest and first basketball broker in Greece.

The General Assembly also appointed committees, with the aim of enhancing the operation of the Association and supporting individual issues:

– SEAK Committee International Relations work: For contacts with FIBA, focusing on the new rulers’ regulations. At the same time, contacts are strengthened with corresponding links abroad, in an effort to develop links to cooperation and exchange of know -how internationally.

– Committee on Licensing Examinations of Ombudsmen: In collaboration with the EEC to plan the material and issues.

– Seminar Committee: for planning information and educational seminars mainly for the members of the Association.

SEAK It enhances the voice of professionals in the industry, promoting initiatives that meet modern needs. The aim of the Association is to form a dynamic, extrovert and well -organized framework that will strengthen its members and create new opportunities for professional recognition and progress.
