Thus, the completely new vehicle architecture supports even higher levels of productivity by incorporating features such as the lower loading flooring, the top -line opening of the side door and a new side stair for easier loading. At the same time, the vehicle access to spaces with limited height has been optimized, as the overall body height is below two meters in most of the models in the range.

The innovations featuring Ford Pro’s new e-transit custom are designed to make the cabin more productive and comfortable including the optional mobile office with a reclining steering wheel and the Delivery Assist time-saving technology. Also important is the new front wheels and upper bases of the suspension knees that ensures improved spaces and access to the vehicle’s cabin, as well as the driver’s airbag installed to create a particularly practical storage space on the dashboard, capable of fitting a laptop or a laptop.

With advanced digital experiences and software

All e-transit custom and transit custom PHEV are equipped with a 13-inch touchscreen slope to the driver and horizontal layout. This supports the Ford SYNC 4 communication and entertainment system that operates through 5G modem ensuring uninterrupted connectivity to the company’s advanced stack. Further productivity during driving is ensured by the Alexa Built-in, which allows drivers to use simple voice commands to make calls and purchases directly through Amazon.com.

With the power of electrical power

All e-transit customs are equipped with a battery with a useful capacity of 64 kWh, which offers maximum autonomy up to 329 km, while the innovative steam infusion heat pump is standard. Designed to improve energy efficiency at low temperatures, Ford engineers have found that this system can increase the autonomy of an electric van from 7% to 10% compared to a heatless vehicle. Also, the model regenerative braking system allows for a pedal (one-pedal driving), ensuring more comfortable city driving and improved efficiency.

The electric motor is mounted on the floor, on the back of the vehicle, and has rotated by 90 degrees to maximize loading area and reduce weight and complexity. Depending on their needs, customers can choose between versions that deliver 100 kW or 160 kW and both have a top of the torque category, which reaches 415 Nm.

A complete charging of an AC 11 kW charger takes about 6.7 hours. Customers can also charge the battery from 10% to 80% of its maximum capacity in about 39 minutes in a 125 kW DC supply. In laboratory tests, a 10 -minute charge added 82 km to the battery.

The new e-transit custom electrical drive offers top towing capacity of up to 2,300 kg. This means that customers who trailer heavier loads moving in low emissions zones will be able to replace their diesel vehicles in these cases.

The battery is mounted on the floor of the loading area, above the slices, so that there is no need for separate structures that will absorb the energy of a collision. For optimal use of the space and for reasons of weight reduction, other accessories beneath the body are concentrated around the battery.

As with the largest e-transit, buyers of both the new e-transit custom and Transit Custom Phev can choose Ford Pro’s Pro Power Onboard system, which provides 2.3 kW power to supply electricity tools and external lights required during work.

Ford Pro expects that the new e-transit custom will offer lower operating costs compared to a corresponding diesel vehicle. For e-transit, reducing maintenance costs can reach up to 40%. This savings is a result of a 2 -year service space without a mileage and the 8 -year warranty or 160,000 km that covers all high voltage components, offering customers complete care.
