Youth Contender Kosovo: Under 17’s 9-16 positions Kosmas, enter the first octave of Under 13 Madei

On the first day of Kosovo’s World Table Tennis Youth Contender, the two children who competed on Thursday, George Kosmas and Klio Madessi, first entered the main board and in addition because the former was fully competitive against an Asian obstacle.

On Thursday afternoon in the ’32’ round, Kosovaros Archi Karabagtzak easily defeated 3-0 sets (11-2, 11-3, 11-5). In the 16th he fought “battle” with Korean Kwon Chiouk, led 2-1 and eventually bent 3-2 (11-9, 7-11, 11-9, 7-11, 4-11).

In the category of girls under 13 Madei won the second privileged place in the second group with 2 wins and 1 defeat. In her first race she lost to Bulgarian Bulgarian Kalina Stefanova with a 3-0 set (6-11, 9-11, 6-11), but then imposed with the same score by Kosovara Leana Halaki (11-6, 11-6, 11-3) and Lira Hassani, also by 11-4, 11-4, 11-4, 11-4, 11-4, 11-4).

The “&” board runs on Friday and the athlete from Heraklion 2001 was invited to face noon, the first favorite, Lee Jen Yuh from Chinese Taipei.

On Saturday, Merambelliotakis begins her effort. In the category Under 19 there were six qualifying groups and she was drawn in the fifth. He will fight for the qualification against Slovenian Sarah Tokic (head), Bulgarian Siddelia Moutlou and Kosovara Touana Gakafery.

On Saturday, the groups are also held in the corresponding category of athletes. Kosmas was in the first of the 13 groups formed and will face Japanese Kazuki Yosiyama (head) and Albanian Aron Cony.

Also on Saturday, Madessi will play in the mini bench. There are only two groups of the four, the Greek champion of the category is in charge of the second and has opponents of Kosovars Zana Blaka, Yara Halaki and Bulgarian Martina Golvanova.

The double mixer includes a “16” dashboard and begins on Friday. In the double mixed Under 19, Kosmas and Merambelliotakis were drawn with Kosovars Antis Kekou/say Osmani.

In the double mixed Under 15 Madei forms a twin with Bulgarian Daniel Ganev. In the first round they will meet the second favorite, Casper Pivovar/Maria Pikou from England and Italy respectively.
