In the context of this process we are pleased to announce that the technical director of our Academy – from the new season – is undertaken by the Polytechnic Lefteris Kalogirou.
Mr. Kalogirou also assumes the coach of the Teen Team.

He studied Physical Education at ISEF L ‘Aquila and began his coaching career at the National Hellenic. In the 1990s he was a member of the Ambelokipi group, which started from the local categories and reached A1. In 1997-1999 he was a partner of the Panathinaikos coaching staff, with whom he won two Greek championships.
He then took over as the first coach in the 2nd National Teams of Elysian, Alimos, Aigaleo and Papagou, and in the 3rd National Rethymnon, Progressive, Taurus, and GS. Chalkida, celebrating with the last two teams the rise. In 2012 he worked for Icarus Chalkida in A1, a period during which the team succeeded in entering the play-offs for the first and only time in its history. In the two years 2013-2015 he participated in the coaching staff of SA. Psychiko and Duke Schools, in the A2 championships. In 2016 he took over the reins of the General Assembly. Karditsa as the first coach. In the 2017-2018 season he was a coach at Pan-Hellenic, in the Second National Championship. In 2019 it led Chalkida Basketball Academy to its rise to the National. In 2020 he was a member of the technical staff of Charilaos Trikoupis (Messolonghi) in his first year in the Basket League.
Since 2022, he has worked in the Hellenic Basketball Federation (EOK), in the Development Program, as head of the coaching staff of Southern Greece.
Between 1996 and 2005 he was a professor at the “College of Sport Sciences”, as the lead rapporteur for basketball theory and methodology courses.
He has been a development leader for Eurohoops Academy of Basketball for years.
