Kolober: “The arrival of Coach Carasco turned the switch to start dynamically next year”

by

The Guard of Colossus Rhodes, Joseph Kolober“Hosted” in his “Direct Ripley” show Eok webradio.

The Greek regional referred to year completed, in the influence of Javier Carasco in the group, but also in the season below.

In detail what he said:

For the year completed: “Last year we went out 6th, we won a place in the play-offs and the BCL and the team held a ‘trunk’ for this year. We started this year without doing well, we changed coaches and players. There was a good climate, we just couldn’t find our “chemistry” in the parquet. With the arrival of Coach Carasco, he made the climate between everyone, we worked much better in training and at least we closed the season dynamically. ”

For what was the point where the “switch turned” for the team: “I consider the arrival of Coach Carasco, in the sense that everyday life became a little better, the workouts were better, there were roles that did not exist. This was also evident from our image in the parquet. The psychology and cohesion of all players and the team have improved. And the coach did not try to make radical changes from day to day. ”

On how much European participation influenced the team: “I am personally 100% in favor of playing Europe. We faced good teams and good players, such as Huertas and McColum. We got experiences that may not come back to us in the future. I don’t think it has had a negative impact. Of course, in this bad period we were going through, it was this crown. ”

Whether this year is a lesson for the team: “For me and for the players it was important, in the sense that, regardless of the difficulties and the situation, we were on the pitch every day, we did good workout and that at some point it was in the races.”

For the next season on a personal level, after renewing with Colossus Rhodes: “It plays an important role that it will be a coach who knows and trusts me, just like me. In the second phase, I personally want to start dynamically as a team. Because the season has a few games, there are few opportunities automatically, so we should not let the games go to lose. ”

For his personal presence last season: “This year, good or bad, we changed 4-5 coaches. Everyone has their own philosophy, assigns you some certain responsibility, some roles. The faster a player can understand what the coach is asking for, the more time he will find. So I was trying to adjust with the coach. “
