A gold and a silver medal was won by Greek sailors at the European Championships ILCA 4 Youth!

Emmanuel Anastasios Bombila won the gold medal and Constantine Portosalte the silver.

Stefanos Samaras took the 4th place in the U16 category, while our girls were four athletes in the first 10 and had the potential for a better position, even for a medal.

After all, an impressive report on Greek sailing that in another major international race showed its high level, a product of intensive work by sailors, their coaches, their clubs and the federation.

The race was demanding due to the huge participation and frequent changes in the weather, but our sailors were very well prepared, had stability in most of the 11 races that were made and in the end they got what they deserved.

Emmanuel Anastasios Bombilla was amazing in the golden lofting of the 70 vessels and scored 33 points. His positions were 5, 4, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 10 (removed it as the worst), 9 and 9 respectively. In fact, the six consecutive firsts from the 3rd to the 8th race lifted him to the podium and gave him the gold medal.

Konstantinos Portosalte, who finished 1, 4, 1, 2, 1, 3, 13, 9, 1, 1, 71 (removed) and with 36 points, was also excellent.

Eleftherios Tsoukatos went very well in 12th place, while George Bougiouris finished 17th and Stefanos Samaras 20th and 4th in the U16.

In the 55 girls in the gold and after 10 races four of us finished in the first 10.

Specifically, Nefeli Podiadis was 7th, Sunday Varsaki, 8th, Eleni Alhanati 9th and Francis Kosmas 10th.
