Apollo Volada officially enters the EPO football map!

Apollo Voladas, one of the oldest sports clubs in Karpathos, took the most decisive step in his modern history: he was officially recognized by the Hellenic Football Federation and joined the Dodecanese EPS, paving the way for his first participation in the official championship.

The association, founded in 1924, is a beacon of culture and sports for the island over time. Although active for a whole century, its activity was limited to local level, without having to have a formal existence in organized Greek football.

The EPO’s announcement came to seal a historic moment for Apollo Vlasdas, as well as overall for Karpathos football.

The people of the club are excited and proud, referring to “one of the most important moments in the history of the club”, which confirms the commitment to the values ​​of sport and social contribution.

Apollo Voladas was born from the vision of a group of people in 1924 and evolved into a reference point for Carpathian society. From the first games with rag balls during the Italian rule, to the construction of the historic Francis Sakellaridis stadium at an altitude of 475 meters, the team has written dozens of pages of sports history.

With colors of green and white, and fanatical fans inside and outside Greece, Apollo Volada became a symbol of identity for generations of Carpathians. Local derby, titles, great moments, and a spirit of unity that still lives and inspires.

The contribution of the Greek community was catalytic. With active Apollo clubs both in America (since 1979) and Athens (since 2008), support from the Greek Diaspora has given an economic breath and continued to supply the team with faith and unity.

Integration into the official power of the EPO marks a new era. Apollo Voladas declares ready to honor his past and build a healthy and organized future through his active participation in local Dodecanese Division.
