OFI announced the renewal of his collaboration with Astera Rethymnon.
According to the Cretans, in the first three years of the team’s academy in Rethymnon, 8 children have joined the K15 and K17 departments of the Elite Academy which are training daily in Vardinoyannio.

“PAO OFI 1925 is pleased to announce the renewal of cooperation with Astera Rethymnon for the next three years.
OFI’s ” heart ” began beating in Rethymnon in the summer of 2022, with the Rethymnon Academy being the second to join the Football Schools Network of our team.
In the first three years of the OFI Academy in Rethymnon, eight children joined the K15 and K17 departments of the Elite Academy and train daily at the Vardinoyannio Sports Center.
Children from 9 to 14 years old, who have been assessed to participate in the OFI Rethymnon racing sections, are currently 85, with this academy consisting of a total of about 600 children, along with the Astera Rethymnon sections.
As part of our collaboration, the children of the OFI Academy in Rethymnon attended a psychology seminar from Elite Academy Psychologist Lina Kouni, while K13 and K14 players had the opportunity to train in part with the K15 of the Elite Athletic Center.
It is also worth noting that the technical director of the OFI Academy in Rethymnon, George Bastakis, belongs to the 2024-25 season to the Elite Academy Technical Staff. “
