With a triumphant appearance that exceeded all expectations, Greece won 15 medals at the European Cheerleading 2025 Championships, which ended in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The Greek mission wrote history, breaking last year’s record of 13 medals it had won in Norway’s European one in 2024.
Greece’s dynamic presence had been seen since the first day of the event, as on Friday (27/6) our country was already counting 7 medals. The series continued impressively, with the Greek teams adding 8 more medals to their assets, raising the total report to the 15 European medals, of which 4 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze!
Global distinction for the Pandora team!
A special place in the Greek epic is the Pandora team from Thessaloniki, which won the gold medal in the Senior Jazz category for the fourth consecutive year, writing history as no other team in any sport worldwide has achieved a similar achievement!
Gold for Senior Hip Hop!
The top was won by the Greek team in the Senior Hip Hop category, achieving the fourth gold medal of the event for our country. With an explosive presence and flawless execution, the athletes impressed audiences and judges, adding another golden page to the book of Greek successes.
The “golden” pairs of hip hop
Greece dominated Hip Hop couples by conquering gold both in Senior and in the Junior category with Gerogian-Thanassis and Voudouri-Tasiopoulou.
The excellent Greek presence was complemented by our national teams Junior Hip Hop and Junior Jazz, who won two silver medals, confirming the quality and future of Greek cheerleading in the younger age categories. The couple Andranidou-apostolic won the silver medal in the Senior Pom Doubles category. In the second step of the podium was the Junior Coed Advanced team.
Bronze medals were won by our national teams in the Junior Coed Advanced, Junior All Girl Advanced and Youth Coed Median. The medal dance was completed by the teams of Senior Jazz, Junior Jazz, Youth Hip Hop and Youth Pom, winning four bronze medals. It should be noted that the bronze medal of the Youth Pom team is the first medal to take up Greek participation in the most demanding traditional category of POM.
Sovereigns and in the stand!
Greece also won the “battle of the stand” in Hala Tivoli, with hundreds of Greek spectators creating a unique atmosphere. The platforms were flooded with Greek colors, flags and songs, while at the gold medal awards the whole stadium was shaken by the national anthem sung proud, giving moving moments.
