A statement by the Mayor of Thessaloniki and the First Vice -President of the EEA Stelios Angeloudis about the death of George Alikakos: “I was sadly informed of the death of OHE President George Alikakos for many years. In our long -term acquaintance, our relationship has gone through many fluctuations, as an opponent in the Federation elections, we conflicted and disagreed, but as a colleague in the EOE plenary we worked and, in fact, he was often a strong ally in his handball claims.
I recognize his love for the sport and honor him for his contribution, especially in the first very difficult years of Handball’s birth in Greece. I express my warm and sincere condolences to his family. “
