At Spata – Artemis Municipal Stadium, for the first time five federations in the country will join forces in order to motivate children to integrate sports into their daily lives through the fourth “Mediterranean Festival 2025”. The event will take place from September 22 to September 28, as part of the European Mobility Week, the Be Active Campaign and the Day of School Sports. The “Mediterranean Festival 2025” is aimed at all schools in Attica and aims to motivate children to integrate movement and sports into their daily lives, while at the same time highlighting the values ​​of inclusion and equal participation.
During the event, a track championship will be held by EAS SEGAS Athens, a bicycle training program by the Hellenic Cycling Federation, a cyclist from the Hellenic Federation EAOM-AMEA, with a presentation of the sport.
“The Mediterranean Festival is now an institution embraced by the school community and the families of Attica. This year’s event is special, as five federations are working together for the first time, sending a strong message of unity and inclusion. Our goal is to give children motivation to integrate movement and sports into their daily lives, but also to show that every child – without exceptions – has a place on this great celebration. The participation of special schools and children with mobility difficulties, through the EAOM-AMEA programs, reminds us that sport is the right of all and can be a bridge of social integration and inspiration, “said the Festival Director and Special Secretary of EAS SEGA.
This year’s event is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Religions and Sports and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
The “Mediterranean Festival” has been established in the consciousness of the people of sports as a great celebration that fills smiles, energy and inspiration and attracts hundreds of children, families and school communities in Attica.
With the central slogan “Participation is the new record”, this year’s celebration marks the importance of our collective effort for childish smile and the promotion of sport because sport is not only a performance but also a way of life.
