Forward Jonathan Calleri, from São Paulo, used social media this Monday (4) to apologize to a Palmeirense after slapping the boy’s cell phone, who was filming the departure of São Paulo from Allianz Parque last Sunday. (3).
The video of the moment, recorded shortly after the 4-0 rout of Alviverde in the second game of the Paulista Championship decision, which gave Palmeiras the state title, went viral and garnered criticism of the tricolor striker.
“About what happened on the way out of the stadium yesterday, I would like to send my sincere apology to the boy. It was a moment when I was very hot headed and it shouldn’t have happened. I make myself available to repair the damage caused to the cell phone”, posted Calleri on Instagram.
The boy who recorded the departure of São Paulo from the stadium plays in the youth categories of Palmeiras.
Calleri was the main name of São Paulo in the 3-1 victory over Palmeiras, in the first leg of the decision, at Morumbi, when he scored two goals in the São Paulo triumph.
This Sunday, however, coach Rogério Ceni’s team saw its advantage in the decision fall in the first stage – at half-time, the hosts were already winning 2-0. With the 4-0 victory, Palmeiras reversed the series and got the São Paulo title.
