Copa Sudamericana: where to see the final between Athletico and Red Bull Bragantino

For the first time in history, two Brazilian teams will face each other in the final of the Copa Sudamericana.

Athletico-PR and Red Bull Bragantino make the decision, which will be held this Saturday (20), at 5 pm, at the Centenário stadium, in Montevideo (Uruguay) — the same place that, seven days later, will meet the Copa Libertadores champion.

The match will be broadcast exclusively by Conmebol TV, a paid channel available on Sky, Claro/Net and DirecTV for R$ 39.90 per month — it is also possible to access it through the respective companies’ online services.

Bragantino reach the final after overcoming with authority the Paraguayan Libertad. Applied 2-0 in the away game, at home, and 3-1 in the home game.

Athletico, on the other hand, ended the dream of the mighty Peñarol, from Uruguay, of playing in the final in his country. They won 2-1 away from home and 2-0 at Arena da Baixada.

The team from Paraná was the last Brazilian to win the Sudamericana, in 2018. Three other teams from Brazil have already been champions of the tournament –Internacional, in 2008, and São Paulo, in 2012.

In 2016, Chapecoense was traveling to dispute the decision when its plane crashed, which caused the death of 71 people – practically all the players, as well as journalists, club members and flight employees, in one of the greatest tragedies in the history of football .

The final against Atlético Nacional was canceled, but, at the request of the Colombian team, the team from Santa Catarina was declared champion.
