The Cupra Born with rear wheel drive creates a more sporty driving feel and experience. Available in 150 hp (110 kW) / 310 Nm and 204 hp (150 kW) / 310 Nm performance versions. It also offers the e-Boost performance package increasing efficiency to 231 hp (170 kW) / 310 Nm. The e-Boost is available with two battery options: with the 77 kWh battery that offers acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 7 seconds and a range of about 540 km, and with the 58 kWh battery with the 0-100 coming in just 6.6 seconds and autonomy of up to 424 km. The e-Boost package includes larger front brakes and standard 19 wheels; as well as Cupra steering wheel with satellite buttons.
The Cupra Born uses a water-cooled lithium-ion battery placed low and central in the car to offer better weight distribution (50% front, 50% rear) and reduce the impact of increased weight. It has three battery options with a capacity of 45 kWh, 58 kWh and 77 kWh and with a maximum range of about 540 km with a single charge, according to the official WLTP test cycle. In terms of recharging times, in just 7 minutes an additional 100 km of autonomy can be added using a charging point of 170 kW. Even if the battery charge status is only at 5%, it can be recharged to 80% in just 35 minutes. The Cupra Born can be connected to both AC (up to 11 kW) and DC (up to 170 kW) charging networks. Sales prices start at 33,900 euros (before the state subsidy), while the first available version is the one with the 58 kWh battery and 204 hp.
