THE Nikola Milutinov was instrumental in Olympiakos victory over Maccabi (94-95) in Belgrade. The Serbian center has clearly improved this year and is relishing the fact that he now has a starting role and playing time.
“It’s a different role than last year. Now I am the main center, I have the ball in my hands more, my teammates trust me more… And I also trust myself more, which is the most important thing for a player. Then everything is easier, the game is better“, he emphasized speaking to Meridian Sport and added:
“I see that others trust me more. I am happy with my games at the beginning of the season, although they can be even better. But there are a lot of injuries, we are missing players and it is a long season. Everything happens in the Euroleague, you can’t predict anything. Chill, it’s just the beginning».
Finally, he spoke about Frank Nilikina. “You can tell he’s still trying to figure out what’s required of him. The system here is different from the one he had in Partizan. It will take time, but he is trying, doing his best to adapt as soon as possible».
