In the first official match of the year, the Olympiakos men’s volleyball team faces Naredak Odzak in Bosnia at 21:00 in the first match between them for the first qualifying round of the Champions League and will be looking for the best possible result, ahead of the Rendis rematch next Thursday.
Andrea Gardini emphasized that: “We start the season in the Champions League. We don’t have much information about our opponent. We have traveled a long way to be here, aiming to start our European season as well as we can. This is the first important match, the first official one of the season. We’ll see. Many of our players are in good shape. We will fight to create the best conditions for the second match at home.”
Aleksandar Nedelkovic added: “We are here in Bosnia. We arrived late last night after a difficult journey. We did our training today and we will prepare for tomorrow’s match. We are excited to start the season. It’s been a long summer, but we’re excited to get the Champions League qualifiers underway. Our goal is to qualify, while we are also preparing for the Greek championship.”
