At noon on Thursday (23/10), the club announced its acquisition Mike Bothwell, who will be the seventh foreigner in the team for Stoiximan GBL.
The 25-year-old American guard is coming off a busy season in Germany and Rasta Wechtham last year, averaging 7.7 points and 2.9 assists in 27 games.

AS Karditsas JAPONIKI announces the addition of Mike Bothwell to the men’s team roster.
The American guard will be the seventh foreign player for our team and will strengthen it both in the Stoiximan GBL championship and in the Basketball Champions League.
Mike Bothwell is 25 years old (born January 19, 2000 in Cleveland Heights, Ohio), is 1.90 m tall and plays as a guard. In the collegiate league he wore the jersey of Ferman and graduated in 2023 with major honors and with averages of 17.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
In 2023 he began his professional career in Europe and while he had agreed with Hapoel Galil Elyon, due to the war he left to join the Caledonian Gladiators in the Great Britain league where he scored 10.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists.
Last year he moved to Germany and Rasta Vechta, with whom he played in 27 matches of the domestic league (7.7 points, 2.9 assists in 23 minutes of participation) and in 4 of the Basketball Champions League.
