Five are the candidates from World Athletics for the award of the best female athlete in the world in 2025 in running events outside the stadium. From Monday until November 2, athletics fans can vote for two of the ten total nominations on the World Classical Athletics Federation’s social media platforms on Facebook, Instagram and X.
The athletes claiming the award are Caio Bonfim (Brazil), Evan Dunphy (Canadian), Yomif Kyeltsa (Ethiopia), Sebastian Saue (Kenya) and Alphonse Sibu (Tanzania).
As for the five candidate athletes, they are: Tigisk Assefa (Ethiopia), Sifan Hassan (Netherlands), Peres Jepcirtsir (Kenya), Agnes Engetic (Kenya) and Maria Perez (Spain).
The winner will be announced at the World Athletics awards ceremony on November 30.
