OR Villerban never came down to the “Zalgirio Arena”, never got into the spirit of the game and surrendered to the supersonic Zalgriswhich leveled the French with the deafening 96-59 for the 8th matchday of the Euroleague, achieving its 6th win of the season and making it 2/2 in the “devil’s week”.
Awesome for another match o Franciscowho played just under 20 minutes and managed to score 15 points while handing out 7 assists. Up close and Moses Wright with 14 points and 7 rebounds, while his best appearance this year was made by Sirvindis with 10 points and 17 points in the evaluation system.
On the other hand, Mr Watson had 14 points for Villeurbanne, which fell to 2-6 and is in… hot coals over his injury Nando De Colowho left in the first half.
OR Zalgris started with the foot on the gas and with the Francisco to pick up where he left off against Virtus Bologna, took over the baton in the organization. The French guard had 6 points and 6 assists in just 12 minutes of his presence on the court in the first half, with Moses Wright to make fun of Villerban’s basket, with 12 points until the break.
His presence is also very good Sirvindis who gave many assists, while in the Euroleague debut, the 18-year-old Mikalauskas scored a three-pointer the first time he touched the ball! Poupé’s team could not keep up with the pace of the hosts, even though they had it unlucky to lose De Colo just before half timewith 48-35 fully capturing its image.

With De Colo unavailable for the rest of the match, Villeurbanne simply surrendered to the appetites of the supersonic Zalgiris. With consecutive three-pointers Francisco scored 9 quick pointsthe Lithuanians were turning the ball over and taking free shots all the time, and so the difference jumped to 29 points, thanks to the individual 25-9 in the period.
Understandably, the match was decided in the final quarter and all that remained was the final score, with Zalgiris continuing to shoot with great accuracy from 6.75m (9/17, 52.9%) and comfortably finding baskets from close range (46 points through the racket). On the other hand, the French were not only incorrect (39% two-pointers, 20.7% three-pointers), but they couldn’t do anything right on the floor. The difference kept increasing and thus the Masioulis team reached its 6th victory of the season with an impressive 96-59.
The quarters: 26-15, 48-35, 73-44, 96-59.
