May marks the 19th anniversary of the last match given by AEK in its historic headquarters, in New Philadelphia. 19 years in which AEK was forced to play away from home having played as a typical home team in various stadiums in Attica.
The waiting years, however, have been converted to a few months and the final straight is now visible. OPAP ARENA takes its final form and the latest touches are added to the state-of-the-art stadium of AEK that will beautify it even more.
Next to the AEK logo, the official name of the stadium, “OPAP ARENA”, is now hosted, with the works progressing rapidly in the last days and the first of the four points that will be marked with the name “OPAP ARENA” to have already completed on the side where the official positions of the stadium will be located.
Immediately, in fact, the inscription will begin in the other parts of the stadium, ie in front of the building that will house the Museums of Refugee Hellenism and AEK, on Cappadocia Street, as well as on the side in front of the New Philadelphia Grove.
