The Greek Boxing Federation gave a potential “present” at the event “National Strategic Plan for Sports, Teammates in the Future of Sports”, organized at the National Indoor Gym “Dimitrios Tofalos” Patras by the Ministry of Sports April 8-10.
At the EEA stand, the sport was displayed in the best way and Boxing came out … victorious from this important event.
Dozens of active athletes demonstrated at the exhibition, while the president of the Hellenic Boxing Federation, Haris Mariolis, during his speech pointed out the positions, goals and proposals of the Federation.
It is worth noting that Boxing “stole” the impressions in the show. Nearly 150 athletes showed Boxing to all in attendance and won the prolonged applause. The show of the Greek champions was the most crowded in the event and deservedly received all the praiseworthy comments!
It was the first time that such an event took place and the initiative of the Deputy Minister of Sports Lefteris Avgenakis was crowned with absolute success. The whole family of sports, from Olympic and non-Olympic sports were found in Patras and proved that all together can lead sports to the top.
The overall picture of Greek Boxing resulted in “winning” the praise from Lefteris Avgenakis, as well as from many sports players who had the opportunity to get to know Boxing and exchange views with both Harry Mariolis and the federal coaches.
It is characteristic that the Deputy Minister of Sports publicly congratulated the president of the EEA, Harry Mariolis, the federation, the athletes and the coaches.
“Well done to the president, to the federation, to the clubs, to the coaches, to the excellent athletes and of course to the parents. “Boxing is changing, Sports are changing,” the Undersecretary of Sports wrote on Social Media.
