The Russian (born in Kyrgyzstan) remained undefeated in his career (20-0 with 11 knockouts), while the Mexican, who was the big favorite for the victory, lost for only the second time (57-2-2, with 39 knockouts) and the first since September 2013 when he was defeated by Floyd Mayweather.
