Instagram is also testing a new age verification method that includes asking three different users to confirm how old he is.
The app started testing the tools in the US today, aiming to provide more experiences depending on the user’s age.
When someone tries to edit their date of birth on Instagram, the app will ask them to verify their age using one of these tools.
The system Age Estimation Yoti uses artificial intelligence (AI) to find out if social media users are too young to use apps like Instagram or TikTok.
If users are between the ages of 13 and 17, they are assigned a private account by default – which means other users can not see or interact with their content unless it accepts them as following.
