The New York gun law, which has been in force since 1913, was deemed unconstitutional, ratifying citizens’ right to move around armed.
He considered it unconstitutional Supreme Court of USA τον law which was in force in New York since 1913 as regards possession and so citizens can move around armed.
The decision, taken by a vote of 6 to 3, comes at a time when the United States is still in the throes of bloody militant attacks, including one at a Texas elementary school that killed 21 young students and teachers.
The Supreme Court ruled that the law that had been in force since 1913 was unconstitutional and forbade anyone from circulating in public with a weapon hidden on it. According to the judges, the law violates the American right to bear arms, as defined by the Second Amendment to the Constitution.
The six conservative judges voted in favor of the decision, while the three progressive judges voted in favor.
The ruling overturns the verdict of a lower court appealed to by two gun owners and the National Arms Union (NRA) branch in New York, a powerful lobby with ties to the Republican Party.
