dikes.moj.gov: With a click on your mobile, see the progress of the signs in the courts

by

The launch of the dikes.moj.gov.gr platform was announced by the Ministries of Digital Governance and Justice. This is a new service, which provides every interested party (lawyer, party, witness, etc.) with information via the Internet and in real time about the progress of the paintings / exhibits in the civil and criminal courts. This allows anyone wishing to know which case is currently being heard in a particular panel or courtroom, helping to avoid overcrowding in courtrooms and smoother court proceedings.

The pilot implementation of the platform starts from the Athens Court of First Instance for all civil and criminal cases. The service will soon be extended to the Courts of First Instance of Thessaloniki, Piraeus and Chalkida, while an SMS service will also be activated, through which the interested party will be able to be informed about the progress of the exhibits.

Citizens can search for their trial / case by building number, room number or license plate code. The service can be used by all citizens, without registration or personalized connection and concerns only the course of the day (cases that have been tried, that are to be tried or that will not be tried and belong to the same panel).

The information presented is anonymous, pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Thus, only the serial number and the filing numbers of the case file, as well as the initials of the parties, appear in the respective panel / exhibit. Then the time of the last update and whether the case remains pending, is being tried at that time or was tried, was postponed, etc.

The exhibits / panels are updated in real time through the Integrated System of Court Practices (IACS), based on the records of the respective meetings by the Registrars of the headquarters. The application is accessible from desktops or laptops, as well as from smart devices, and is compatible with all popular browsers.

The presentation of the service was made on Wednesday morning at the Athens Court of First Instance by the Minister of State and Digital Government Kyriakos Pierrakakis and the Minister of Justice Costas Tsiaras, in the presence of the President of the Court of First Instance and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Court of First Instance Also present were the Deputy Minister of Digital Government George Georgantas and the Deputy Minister of Justice George Kotsiras. The action is part of the memorandum of cooperation signed between the Secretary General of Justice and Human Rights Panos Alexandris and the Secretary General of Digital Governance and Simplification of Procedures Leonidas Christopoulos, under the supervision of the Secretary General of the Prime Minister Prime Minister Grigoris.
