The museums installed in the Science Park of the Butantan Institute, in the capital of São Paulo, received, together, almost 100 thousand visits in their first month of opening. The period, between June 26 and July 31 of this year, coincides with the school holidays, which would help to explain the public success.
ROAD MAP
The Biological Museum, the Microbiology Museum and the Terra Firme Space are part of the complex, which can be visited for free by children, the elderly and people with disabilities or by purchasing tickets ranging from R$2.50 to R$6.
TICKET GATE
The daily average of visits to the three spaces on Saturday and Sunday surpassed the mark of 4,300 people until last month. During the week, this index was around 3,000 visits.
CONFETTI
“The presence of the public exceeded all our expectations. It took more than two years of intense work to modernize and reopen the park, and having this return from visitors is very gratifying”, says the director of museums and the Cultural Development Center of the space, Giuseppe Puorto.
TOUR
The Science Park of the Butantan Institute has free admission and houses areas such as the Horto Oswaldo Cruz, the Vital Brazil square and the Serpentarium, which do not require the purchase of tickets for visitation.
BETWEEN US
Maria Bethânia and Zeca Pagodinho will do a special number in this year’s edition of Criança Esperança (TV Globo), which will air on the 15th. The singers chose the song “Sonho Meu”, by Dona Ivone Lara for the attraction.
The recordings were made last Wednesday (3), in the Botanical Garden of Rio de Janeiro. “Being with her, it’s easier for me to come, isn’t it? With Bethânia it’s much better!”, joked Zeca about the partnership.
Produced by Globo and Unesco, the program reaches its 37th edition with artistic direction by Antonia Prado, executive direction by Rafael Dragaud and genre direction by Mariano Boni.
