Scheduled to start on Saturday, the 3rd, the exhibition “Dinosaurs – Patagotitan, the Biggest in the World” will need to be postponed in São Paulo.

According to the organizers of the event, part of the 20 dinosaur fossils and the 16 replicas that would be on display were barred from customs inspection upon arrival in Brazil to be transported to Ibirapuera Park, where the exhibition would open its doors this weekend. The material is now awaiting release to officially enter the country.

According to the organizers, the expectation is that they will arrive at the park next Wednesday, the 7th, and that the event will start on Friday, the 9th.

The exhibition has not yet informed whether tickets purchased for these first days of programming will be refunded or rescheduled. Tickets start at R$40.

The main attraction of the show is the Patagotitan fossil, which measures 40 meters in length and weighs approximately 70 tons. The skeleton was found in Argentina in 2013, as were most of the others that will be on display. It is the first time that this giant lands in Brazil.

The exhibition is scheduled to run until November 27.
