Her collection of computers and gadgets Apple released from 1997 to 2008 will be auctioned by Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles on March 30. The ‘Hanspeter Luzi Vintage Apple Archive’ collected by the late Swiss teacher and entrepreneur Hanspeter Luzi includes 500 classic Apple products.
Among other items up for sale will be a 1983 Lisa I, one of the first personal computers, a 1986 Apple Macintosh Place computer with keyboard and mouse and a special 2001 ‘Blue Dalmatian’ edition of the now iconic Imac G3.
Also included in the collection is a 1994 Apple Quicktake 100 camera and Apple controller for the Apple IIE or IIC computer systems.
“Old computers, once a part of everyday life, are now ‘historical objects’,” Erik Rosenblum of Julien’s Auctions told AFP.
