#Hashtag: Twitter goes back and recovers blue seal even from dead celebrities

In yet another confusion, Twitter recovered the blue seal of some accounts on the social network, a day after taking down the badge of thousands of users and defining that only paying users would be entitled to the feature.

The movement affects users who did not request or pay for the stamp, as well as profiles of dead celebrities such as Paulo Gustavo, Marília Mendonça and Gal Costa. When clicking on the symbol, the platform displays a message stating that the accounts have been verified because they signed up for Twitter Blue and had their phone numbers checked.

The profiles of Chadwick Boseman, star of the “Black Panther” franchise, and basketball player Kobe Bryant, both deceased in 2022, are among dozens of other examples of distinguished accounts that have had the symbol redeemed.
