New data in the way “physical” retail stores work
New insights into how ‘naturals’ work retail stores creates the entry of electronic shelf tags into retail stores. A typical example is Walmart’s recent partnership expansion with SES-Imagotag. The world’s largest retailer has selected the manufacturer, which holds 50% of the global electronic shelf label (ESL) market, to equip 500 of its US stores with a total of 60 million labels.
The “new generation” VUSION platform will be used in the project, which offers, as reported by the Greek company Mobile Technology, new innovative possibilities that come to be added to the advantages of the solution developed by SES-Imagotag.
Electronic tags – Their features
-“Smart” rails that combine connectivity and energy, as well as tags that ensure enhanced performance, although they work without a battery.
-Wireless data transmission with extremely low energy consumption, applying the latest protocol developed by the collaboration of Qualcomm and the Bluetooth Special Interest Group.
-Enhanced interoperability with compatible devices via Bluetooth Low Energy. The above results in the largest carbon footprint reduction compared to other ESL solutions.
