Gasoline-fuelled cars still dominate new car sales. The total market share was 47.4% in the previous month in relation with last May, registering a total drop of -4.5%. The sign was also negative for diesel vehicles, which also reduced their percentage by 2.7%, occupying a total market share of 10.6%.

On the other hand, hybrids and electrics registered a strong increase in sales last month. They recorded an increase of 4.8% occupying a percentage of 11.1% of the total sales. Sales of natural gas (+0.4%) and LPG (unchanged) remained almost unchanged.

The favorite category of the Greeks for another month remained the B category recording total sales of 48.6%, with SUV of the category to receive 22.8%. The next favorite category is C with total sales of 33.4% with SUVs occupying 22.4%, followed by A category with total sales of 7.8% (SUVs 2.5), according to the data of the Association of Automobile Dealers Importers (SEAA).
