Mysterious object discovered in our galaxy – The possible explanation of scientists

by

Astronomers mapping radio waves in the universe have discovered a mysterious object in our galaxy that, for a time, emitted a giant amount of energy three times in an hour. It does not look like anything astronomers have seen so far, although they have ruled out the possibility that it is an alien construct.

One possible explanation, according to the scientists who found it, is that it is a neutron star or a white dwarf star with an extremely strong magnetic field. As it orbited space, the unusual object emitted a powerful ray of radiation that was visible from Earth for one minute every 20 minutes, turning it into one of the brightest radio sources in the sky.

Researchers led by astrophysicist Natasha Herley-Walker of the University of Curtin, Australia and the International Center for Radiostronomy Research (ICRAR), who published their findings in the journal Nature, made the discovery with the help of M

As Harley-Walker said, “the object appeared and disappeared within a few hours of our observations. It was something completely unexpected. It was weird for an astronomer, because there is nothing known in the sky to do that. In fact, it is actually quite close to us, at a distance of about 4,000 light years, that is, in our galactic “backyard”.

Astrophysicist Gemma Anderson said that something that gets bright for a minute every few minutes is really weird. The mysterious object, he said, is incredibly bright and smaller than the Sun, emitting highly polarized radio waves, which shows that it has a very strong magnetic field.

The researchers believe that his “profile” matches that of a “very long period magnet”, a slowly rotating neutron star that was theoretically predicted but never observed. According to Dr. Harley-Walker, “somehow it can convert its magnetic energy into radio waves much more efficiently than anything we’ve seen before,” which explains its tremendous brightness.

Astronomers are on alert to see if the object will start flashing again.
