‘Fraser’ is only visible using an advanced telescope.
The International Astronomical Union (IAU) name an asteroid “Fraser”in honor of the singer of Cocteau Twins, Elizabeth Fraser.
The record company 4AD by the Cocteau Twins announced the news on social media last week, adding that the celestial body was discovered in 2013.
Yesterday, after 10 years of research, the International Astronomical Union has named the asteroid 2013 TF19, “Fraser”, after Elizabeth Fraser.

It will be millions of years before the asteroid ‘Fraser’ collides with Earth, meaning it will not pose a threat to humanity. 4AD also released a diagram of ‘Fraser’s’ location in the sky.
‘Fraser’ is only visible using an advanced telescope.
However, it is not known who from the International Astronomical Union is a fan of the Cocteau Twins whose music is described as “celestial” or “atmospheric”.
The Cocteau Twins Scottish rock group formed in 1979 and disbanded in 1997. They received positive reviews for their ethereal, sound effects and Fraser’s soprano vocals. They pioneered the alternative rock subgenre of dream pop in the 1980s.
