NASA Enables Citizens Around the World to Send Their Names to the Moon with the VIPER Rover
VIPER will be NASA’s first robotic moon rover to be sent on a mission to the lunar South Pole, in order to travel to permanently shadowed regions and unravel the mysteries of the Moon’s water.
VIPER will be the first rover to measure the location and concentration of water ice and other resources, which could eventually be harvested to support human exploration on the Moon, Mars – and beyond!
Nasa is offering a rare opportunity to citizens of the world to send their name to the moon!
“Our VIPER rover will explore the lunar South Pole, studying shadow craters and searching for frozen water—and you can add your name to fly with VIPER,” says the US space agency.
