Dozens planets outside our solar system (exoplanets) that they could potentially support Zoe astronomers discovered, using data from NASA’s Transitioning Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS).

They were actually spotted 85 exoplanetssimilar in size to Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune, which “may be inthe correct temperature zone to support life,” said Professor Daniel Bayliss, of the University of Warwick.

According to SkyNews, 65 of the 85 exoplanets are new discoveries, while 25 were recently identified by independent research groups.

Researchers say some of these planets are far enough from their host stars that they could be at the right temperature to support life.

This is known as the “Chrysomallousa zone” or “habitable zone».

The findings of the study were published in the journal Monthly Notices Of The Royal Astronomical Society.

At this stage the findings will have to be confirmed by NASA, which will probably be done in future observations.
