After undocking from the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday, February 7, the Mission crew Axiom 3 (Ax-3) sparkled safely the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft just off the coast of Florida at 8:30 am. US East Coast time on February 9, 2024.

The research space mission was launched by the rocket Falcon 9 her SpaceX from the Kennedy Space Center and arrived at the International Space Station on January 20, crewed by the first Turkish astronaut Alper Gezeravdzi and another 3 members from Italy, Spain and Sweden.

The return of the Ax-3 crew officially concludes the first all-European commercial astronaut mission and Axiom Space’s third manned mission to the ISS.

During the 18 days that the Ax-3 mission remained tethered to the ISS, its crew lived and worked in the Earth-orbiting laboratory, performing more than 30 different experiments and over 50 long-range missions.

Human survey data collected in the field before and after the mission as well as during flight will contribute to an improved understanding of human physiology on Earth and in microgravity.

Axiom Space plans to send a fourth mission, the Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4), to the ISS as early as October 2024 from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
