A video of a dog sitting as if it were a human in a normal position on a plane has gone viral on TikTok. In fact, he not only sits but refuses to give up his seat to the real passenger who has booked the corresponding ticket.

The video was posted by @hit_isacu and has garnered 3.4 million views since it was shared on August 31.

The video shows a dog sitting in an airplane seat while a woman stands in the aisle looking at the puppy, waiting for him to take her seat. The dog remains motionless while staring blankly at the floor, where another dog can be seen curled up on a blanket.

Traveling with pets on a plane

While US carriers must recognize dogs as service animals and allow them on flights, pet rules are subject to each airline’s policy. The Federal Aviation Administration suggests contacting your airline to confirm its pet policy before your travels.

As much as the canine friend in the viral clip may have wanted to travel in a regular airline seat, some airlines may require the pet to remain in the pet carrier for the entire flight, the FAA notes.
