For the 2nd consecutive year, PPC proudly supported the National Robotics Team FIRST Global – PPC Team Greece, in the Global Robotics Competition, First Global Challenge 2024, which was held for the 1st time in Athens. The Greek team won 4th place in the General Ranking of the World Competition, which is the best position our country has achieved in the history of the institution. The preparation of the PPC Team Greece National Robotics Team was undertaken by Eduact, the National Competent Body, offering crucial support and guidance to the team. PPC, as a development helper in society and the economy, is at the side of FIRST Global – PPC Team Greece, supporting innovation and creativity in practice.

The World Robotics Competition, FIRST Global 2024, took place for the first time in Greece, at the Stadium of Peace and Friendship (SEF), from 26 to 29 September 2024, and was preceded by the impressive opening ceremony with the parade of the countries, which took place in Kallimarmaro Stadium and was attended by more than 15,000 spectators.

This year’s FIRST Global 2024 competition, with sustainable food production as one of the most defining challenges of the 21st century, challenged the 193 FIRST student teams from around the world to learn about and address the obstacles and opportunities to provide fair, of safe, nutritious and environmentally responsible food to the world population. PPC Team Greece won the Social Media Award, standing out for innovation, cooperation with teams from other countries, as well as for the technical excellence it demonstrated in the matches.

PPC, nominal sponsor of the national team FIRST® Global – PPC Team Greece, for the 2nd consecutive year, welcomed the members of the Greek delegation to the PPC Innovation Hub which is the research, development and innovation center of the PPC Group.
