A couple’s security camera on a Canadian island captured something completely new to science as the terrifying sound of a meteor hitting Earth was revealed for the first time.

In July 2024, Laura Kelly and her partner Joe Velaidum had just returned from walking their dogs when they found a mysterious star-shaped object outside their home.

Checking the camera footage, they watched a rock shoot out of the sky and fall to the ground.
