Japanese lunar vessel ‘Resilience’ of ISPACE is expected to land on Moon On Thursday, five months after he was launched by SpaceX from Florida. If all goes well, it will be the first trading out of the US to achieve vertical and controlled landing on the moon.
The boat followed a “slow” low -energy route, which allowed scientists to try out all the systems exhaustively during the journey. Although this method is safer and economical, it exposes the boat for longer to radiation and extreme temperatures.
Inside “Resilience” there are three scientific experiments: one associated with algae cultivation for food, one that measures radiation and one that produces hydrogen and oxygen from water – technologies that will be useful in future missions.
The landing will be attempted in a flat area called Mare Frigoris, which increases the chances of success compared to the previous mission of the company crashed in 2023.
Shipment is part of its wider plan Nasa and private companies (CLPS) for the return of people to the Moon through the Artemis program. If Ispace does it, it will write history as the first non -American company to make a successful landing on the moon.
