Instead of classic emoji with the cracked heart that symbolizes sadness, younger users of social networks are now turning to Wandered Red Rose.
As emojipedia explains, “this emoji also known as” Dead Rose “or” Dead Flower “was established as the new symbol of regret, replacing the cracked heart.”
The trend began at the end of February 2025, when a series of Memes began to satirize the frequent use of the usual symbol, considering excessively “mainstream” and sophisticated.
